My Birthday-Day in the Life

Hey guys!

So recently it was my 19th birthday and I went to London with two of my friends and my boyfriend to get some food and do some shopping so I thought I'd do a little blog post on it! My friends and boyfriend got to my house at 10.30 and we just chatted for a bit and they gave me my presents! We got the train up around 11.30 and arrived around 12.15 (I don't live to far from London) and then walked to the Hard Rock Cafe where we got lunch.

I'm obsessed with the Hard Rock Cafe, it's honesty the coolest place on earth (I would live in their if I could!), if you're ever near one you have to go in! Especially if you love classic rock n roll like I do! We ordered our food, I got a bacon and cheese burger with chips, it was amazing. I couldn't finish my food though as there was so much and I seem to have a pretty small stomach haha! I wish I could've eaten more though.

We came out of the Hard Rock Cafe and went in the shop to have a little look but I didn't get anything then we headed to my favourite shop, Brandy Meville!
I love Brandy Melville as all the clothes are so me, I tried on a couple of items and ended up getting a cardigan and a t-shirt dress (which I was going to get in Paris but didn't!) and I love them both so much.
We then headed down to Oxford Street after looking in a couple more shops and it was hectic, as always! We went into the Primark but by that point everyone was really tired so we didn't do a lot of looking around as it's so big! Then we took a trip in Space N K to look for some Nars stuff that I wanted but we couldn't find it unfortunately.
We then went and found a Starbucks to get a drink, I got a mango passionfruit cooler, which was amazing! We chilled out there for a bit and then decided it was time to head back as we'd all been up pretty early and we'd done a hell of a lot of walking!

It was such a good day and I got tons of really nice things! It may take me slightly longer with blog posts now as I'm at uni! I love it here so far and will definitely do being a room tour soon and some general posts about university life. Thanks for reading x

I'm Going To Uni!

Hey guys!

I thought today I'd do a little life update and by the title you can probably guess what it's about haha! Throughout the last year I've been going through the process of applying for university and doing my A Levels and last month I finally got my results and found out that I got into the University of Winchester, my first choice uni! Since then I've been organising my accommodation (I'll be staying in halls) and buying all my stuff. I've had to buy so many new things and many shopping trips were needed, my favourite it's safe to say was to Ikea as I got loads of stuff their and I love the Scandinavian style.

I will be studying Criminology at Winchester and I can't wait as I've always been so interested in the subject and it will be nice to get to know people who have the same interest as me! I can't wait to meet everyone in my flat and block, I've already been speaking to some people and they're lovely which is good! It's going to be a massive change for me but I'm really excited about it and I'm not too nervous, which is strange for me as I'm the queen of worrying.

Being independent is going to be very weird for me as although I am independent and can do things for myself at home I don't have to make meals or go shopping. I am looking forward to doing these things though (which I think is quite strange) as I've never had complete control over what food I eat and I'm intending to go on a bit of a health kick haha! They'll probably some foody posts when I get there
I move in this Saturday (the 12th) and right now I'm just packing up most of my clothes as I've packed most of my room stuff. I think I will be doing a room tour when I get my room properly set up to how I want it to be; thats another thing I'm looking forward to, setting up my room, as I love love love all the stuff I've bought!

Freshers week is another thing I'm looking forward to, it starts on the 13th and I've got loads of events to go to such as a haunted tour, a foam party, a silent disco and an animal fancy dress party! It will be great experiencing these new things and getting to know loads of new people. I can't wait to sign up for some societies either and see what there is on offer.

I think I've rambled on for long enough now haha! So I hope you enjoyed reading and to anyone else going to uni this year good luck and I hope you love it! Thanks for reading x

Lush Herbalism Review

Hey guys!

Today I'm doing something a bit different, a review! I bought this Lush face and body cleanser around 2 weeks ago and have been using it everyday since so I thought I'd do a little blog post on it.

I have really bad skin that seems to be impossible to clear so I wanted to get some new products to try out to see if any would work and I had heard a lot of good things about Lush skincare! I have bought a lot of bath products from Lush but never skincare so I thought I'd give it a try.

I have to say I'm really not a fan of the smell of this product as to me it smells like vinegar but once you put it on your face you can't notice the smell which is good. To use the product you have to scoop a bit out, put it with water and mix to create a paste. I think it's quite hard to get the product out of the tub but once you have it's easy to create a paste.

Once you apply this to your face it feels really cooling which I love! I just wash it off with warm water and once I have it just makes your face feel so clean and fresh which is amazing. Not only that but I can see a difference straight away, my blemishes look less red and they go down slightly.

After using this product for around 3-5 days I noticed a major improvement in my skin, I had less blemishes and my skin felt smoother. For £6.75 this product is definitely worth the money because it really does vastly improve skin and as you do not need to use a lot each time it will last a while!

Overall this product is amazing, if you can get over the fact that getting it out of the tub is slightly tricky and the not so great smell, you will love it. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try out new skincare products or anyone with acne prone skin like me.

Thank you for reading! What are your skincare favourites?x

My Morning Routine

Hey guys!

Today I thought I'd show you my morning routine. Let's get into it!

When I wake up I like to check Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram and then I watch a couple of YouTube videos. I usually lay in bed for ages doing this as I never want to get up!

When I've found the energy to get up I go downstairs and have breakfast, usually cereal or toast as I can never be bothered to make anything else haha! Then I sit and watch TV for a bit; at the moment I'm watching Sons of Anarchy which is now my favourite show ever! It's amazing and you should all go check it out, especially if you like hot guys on motorbikes.

After this I go upstairs and pick out what to wear and then get changed. I usually just throw on jeans and a t-shirt with some jewellery as it's just easy and always looks cool! I really should start doing some ootds haha.

I then go into the bathroom and wash my face with the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Wash and then use the Lush Herbalism cleanser to cleanse my face which really helps my skin (I'll be doing a review on the Lush Herbalism soon). After that I brush my teeth.

Next I put on my Mac strobe cream, lip scrub and then lip balm to prep my face for my makeup. This just helps moisturise my face and brighten my dull skin!

Once this has all sunk in I do my makeup (I should be doing an updated makeup routine soon). After my makeup is done I straighten my hair (as it's usually crazy in the morning) and then style it.

So that's my morning routine! I hope you all enjoyed reading, speak to you all soon!x

5 Product Face Challenge!

Hey guys!

Today I thought I would attempt the 5 product face challenge! I have a feeling this is going to be really tough considering the amount of makeup I usually have on my face but I'm going to give it a go!

My first product is going to be foundation, I'm using the L'oreal Infallible which is one of my favourites (as you've probably guessed from the amount I use it haha)! This helps to give a good amount of coverage.

Second I'm going to use a concealer. For some people this probably wouldn't be necessary but I have cystic acne so I really need to cover this up! I'm using the Mac pro longerwear concealer as it's great for covering anything! As you can see I use this product a lot as it's pretty battered.
My third product is bronzer! This adds a nice warmth to the face and is something I can't live without! I'm using the NYC bronzer as always.
The fourth product I'm going to use is a great all rounder as I'm going to be using it for a couple of different things. It's the Naked 2 palette! First I'm going to be applying the colour verve, this is a silvery colour, all over my lids and then using the shade pistol, the darker grey silver, in the crease and blending that out! Next I'm using the shade foxy, the cream colour, on the brow bone. I'm then taking this beautiful shade bootycall, a champagne colour, across the tops of my cheek bones as it's a stunning highlight colour. I'm then taking the matte brown shade busted very lightly through my brows!
Last I will be using mascara as to me this pulls the whole look together. I'm using the No.7 extreme length.

This is my finished look! I have to say it's not bad for only using 5 products, although I definitely won't be doing this on a daily basis as I need my lipstick, brow set and face powder haha.

So that was my 5 product face challenge, I have to say it was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I challenge all you guys to do this too! Thanks for reading x

How to Look and Feel Put Together!

Hey guys!

Recently I saw a video by youtuber and blogger Amelia Lilana (if you don't watch her you should, she's great) about her tips and tricks to look put together and it inspired me to create my own list of what I feel makes me look and feel put together! So here are my top 5 tips on how to look and feel put together.

My first tip is to put on some concealer. It sounds trivial I know but once I put on concealer I just feel so much better about my skin and it gets rid of my terrible dark circles and redness!

My next tip is to fill in your eyebrows! This again will probably sound trivial but I think filling in your eyebrows just automatically makes you look a lot more put together as it helps to shape your face.

Now to move away from beauty and on to accessories! Wearing a statement always makes me feel put together as I think it adds so much to an outfit and pulls a whole look together. It can also help dress up a very casual outfit, which is perfect for me as I'm an avid jeans and t-shirt wearer!

My second to last tip is to spritz on some of your favourite perfume. I like to do this as it just makes me feel fresh and sophisticated.

My final tip is to paint your nails. I can't go a day without having painted nails so for me this is an essential but I think having painted nails can help pull together a look and it can also add a nice pop of colour to an outfit!

Those are all my tips and tricks on how to look and feel put together, I hope you found them helpful! Thanks for reading!x

Summer Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys!

So I wanted to do a post about summer makeup, I'm in no way a professional makeup artist, I just love doing makeup! I hope you find this helpful in some way! Lets get into it!

First I apply some concealer to cover up any blemishes and redness, as someone with acne prone skin I need to do this to get away with wearing a more sheer foundation. Next I apply a sheer foundation; sheer foundation is great in summer as it's breathable and dewy. It's also good to have one that has SPF in it! I'm using the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation.

Next I apply some highlighting concealer under my eyes and down my nose. This is brilliant in summer as it's glowy and light reflecting which looks beautiful in summer. I'm using the Maybelline dream lumi touch concealer. I then set all of this with a powder. After this I add bronzer to my face as it gives a nice sun kissed glow to the face which in the summer is essential! I use the NYC bronzer in Manhatten. Then I put a peachy pink blush on the apples of my cheeks to add a healthy glow and a pop of colour. I'm using the Bourjous Aqua Blush in pink twice, which is one of my new favourites! I then add some highlighter to the top of my cheeks for a nice sheen.

I then move on to eyes, I like to use a golden eyeshadow as I think it looks very summery. My favourite at the moment is the Makeup Forever Aqua Cream in 113 as it's long lasting which is great for summer. I then use a white eye pencil to make my eyes look bigger and more awake which I think is perfect in summer! Then I load on mascara and do my eyebrows.

Finally I use a glossy pink lipstick to make my lips look juicy and fuller which I think is perfect for summer. I use the Seventeen lipstick in beehive.

Thank you for reading! I think this is a really quick and easy, yet pretty makeup tutorial and I hope it gave you some makeup inspiration! What's your favourite summer makeup look?x
